Memorial Day marks the beginning of the best three months out of the year and it is finally here. For those fashionistas out there, summer is more than just bronzing and bbqs - its about what you wear in the warm days to come. My style is… Always evolving. One day I’m glammed up in a dress and my highest heels, and the next day I’m a total tomboy with a baseball cap and jeans on. My style can be edgy, classic, trendy- just depends how I’m feeling that day.

I cannot live without… My black patent leather Chanel flats- they turn any casual outfit into something work-appropriate.

My last purchase was… 2 pairs of Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Patent Leather Pumps- in Black and Nude. Essential staples for my wardrobe.

Next on my wish list is… A bright colored Proenza Schouler PS1 Cross-body Pouch that will be perfect for summer nights out.

My fave fashion….

Blog? Band of Blondes! They’re up & coming, but they already have an Instagram account that I love

Icon? She’s a bit under the radar these days, but Sienna Miller has always been one of my favorites because her style is so effortless and sexy and ahead of the game.

Brand? Helmut Lang because I love blazers and they have it down to a science over there when it comes to that. I love the asymmetrical lines.

Store? My mom’s store in Beverly Hills- Kyle By Alene Too! For all your ready-to-wear needs.

What most inspires your Trendabl posts? If I’m liking my outfit one day or I see some cool accessories out and about, I like to post and see what everyone’s feedback is! It’s fun to see what people have to say.

If you could shop anyones closet, whose would it be? My cousin Nicky (Hilton)’s- she has quite the collection of amazing bags and shoes. She has great, understated style and elegance.

What trend are you most excited to incorporate into your summer wardrobe? I’m actually digging the whole camouflage look I think it’s really fun! And I’m really into sneakers right now- everything from Isabel Marants to Nikes Sky-His to even just some clean Converse or Jack Purcell’s. I’d dress up this casual look with a nice handbag, sunglasses, and some jewelry.

What fashion motto do you live by? ”If I’m going dancing, then I wear the highest heels with the shortest dress” - Kate Moss.

A fashion rule you never break is… not dressing for myself. I always wear what I want to wear so I’m comfortable, and most importantly, feel good about myself.

What most inspires your Trendabl posts? I’ll always be posting the latest outfits from my blog!

If you could shop anyones closet, whose would it be? Sheila Marquez. Can I have her apartment and hair too?

What trend(s) are you most excited to incorporate into your spring/summer wardrobe? I’m most excited to rock classics like denim, but take it a step further with pieces like little overalls. I also want high waist bikini bottoms and have found so many vintage dresses this winter just begging to be brought out.

When do you pick out what to wear for the next day? Usually that morning. I dress for the weather, the occasion, and then my mood.

How did you first get interested in fashion? I’ve always been into clothes and dressing myself; I can remember going to yard sales as a kid and I made sure it was me choosing my ‘first week of school’ outfits, which were always my favorite. It sort of evolved from there into reading fashion magazines, working in retail, and then finding style blogs.

What do you love about living in Chicago? You have everything you need but it still feels like a small town. The thing I love most is the friends I’ve made, and also my neighborhood (Wicker Park), the thrift stores, and the music scene/festivals. Chicago summers are literally the best.

How would you describe the fashion scene in Chicago compared to other major cities/fashion capitals? Of course the fashion scene is not as prevalent as in places like NYC, but what I truly adore here is that people really care about expressing themselves through their clothing choices. It brings out the individual, and nothing is cooler.

What fashion motto do you live by? “Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn” - a quote by Gore Vidal that has always adorned my blog profile.
